July 24-27 — University of Puget Sound — Tacoma, WA
Each year Zimfest strives to invite as many Zimbabwean teachers as possible to the festival. As you may be aware, there were a record number of Zimbabwean applicants for this year's festival. Back in March we asked for donations to help cover the costs of hosting Zimbabwean teachers and performers, and we were pleased that our generous Zimbabwean Music community stepped up to donate a large portion of these costs. But there are always more needs; the Zimfest Association covers all the costs for meals and housing, as well as some transportation costs for our Zimbabwean teachers, and has begun to pay evening performers a token amount. We look to our friends - and our friends' friends as well - to help make this festival the best that it can be, and to help with some of the financial burden that the festival incurs. Some of the ways that you can assist with this are:
Any and all donations are welcome and appreciated. Not only do the donations help cover our guests’ expenses, but they also help keep other costs of the festival down. You may make a donation as part of your online or mailed-in registration, or you may send a check directly to Zimfest 2014. All donations are tax deductible.
We greatly appreciate any donation you are able to make.
